Google’s DoubleClick DART for Advertisers

Import data directly from your [buy-side] DART account and, via DataManager, quickly integrate it with one more other data sets for fast visualisation and dashboarding that will absolutely impress and save much valuable time.

Google Spreadsheets

Import data directly from your Google Spreadsheets account. Previously available as an experimental feature, this has now graduated with a much improved design.

Google Analytics

Import data directly from your Google Analytics account and, if applicable, quickly mash it up with your DoubleClick DART data and create a template report in minutes.

Microsoft’s Atlas

Another widely used ad serving platform, you can now directly log into your Atlas account and pull data into DataManager for incredibly fast and flexible data integration and visualisation.

Brandwatch

The Brighton-based Social Media Monitoring service is now directly accessible via Omniscope, which makes for extremely fast data cleansing, integration and, again, rich, interactive dashboarding.

Database Connectivity

The database wizard had grown long in the tooth and has now been replaced by an easier yet more powerful database connection system.

In addition to previous databases supported (SQL Server 2000, Oracle), there is now also a dedicated connection option for SQL Server 2005 and 2008, MySQL, PostgreSQL and MS Access. Connecting via JDBC is still available for vendors not explicitly supported, but has been made easier to use.

The redundant “SQL Count” field has been removed, and you can now enter multi-line SQL with as much room as your monitor allows.

Omniscope now gives you access to database names, tablespaces, catalogues and schemas allowing you to more easily find and access specific tables.

Delimited text import (CSV/TSV)

Delimited text file import is now more flexible and powerful, providing finer-grained control over delimiter/separator/quotation characters – importing database dumps is now trouble-free.

OLAP Cubes

DataManager and Enterprise Editions now connect directly to MDX-compliant OLAP cubes. Omniscope 2.6 supports connecting to XMLA-compliant OLAP ‘cubes’, such as those used by MS SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS). Direct connectivity to additional multi-dimensional ‘cube’ formats may be supported in future versions.

Batch Append Files

Import all files in a folder, and sub-folders, and append them automatically. Or open an Excel file and append multiple worksheets. With a field added to identify each record’s source.

Miscellaneous

All data source configuration dialogs have been improved and made easier to use. And password-protected data sources now give prompts on saving IOK files for whether you want to retain the password or not.
